The National Magazine Awards has opened its call for entries for the 36th annual NMAs, which will take place on June 7, 2013.
The National Magazine Awards has opened its call for entries for the 36th annual NMAs, which will take place on June 7, 2013.
The awards honour “the best in magazine publishing from 2012,” and magazines and freelancers are encouraged to apply to the 48 categories the awards offer.
[node:ad]There are three new and digitally-focused categories this year: Blogs (“regular series of original written content produced by a Magazine Website”); Online Video (“This integrated category is open to a single video produced by a Magazine Website or Tablet Magazine”); and Tablet Magazine of the Year (“any single issue of a Tablet Magazine that successfully fulfills its editorial mission … and effectively [serves] its intended audience by maximizing the possibilities afforded by the medium of tablet publishing”).

The deadline for submissions is January 16, though the NMAs are offering an early-bird deadline with discounted fees of January 11. More details can be found on the NMA website.
