Canada in Afghanistan backgrounder
ShareThisThe National Defence of Canada website explains the role of Canada and the Canadian forces in the UN-sanctioned mission "to help build a stable, democratic and self-sufficient society" in Afghanistan. The site explains the reasons for Canada's presence in Afghanistan, the work that has been done, is being done and will be done in the future, and the situation today. The site also provides information about the various missions, teams and operations that Canada is part of and has contributed to.
