Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma
Billed as “a global resource for journalists who cover violence,” this site features three sections relevant to journalists covering children. Reminding journalists that children are not “mini-adults” and “deserve special consideration,” the articles discuss interviewing children who have experienced trauma, how to manage issues of confidentiality, and children with post-traumatic stress disorder. A section aimed at helping clinicians deal with the media is also useful reading for reporters.
