The nominees for the National Newspaper Awards were announced Mar. 18.

Twenty-three of 57 media outlets that submitted work are finalists. The Globe and Mail leads NNA nominations with 19, while La Presse follows with seven nominations, followed by The Toronto Star with six, Winnipeg Free Press with five and the Ottawa Citizen with four. There were over 1,000 entries.

There are four reporters who are double nominees this year, according to a press release sent out by the NNAs: Jacquie McNish, of the Globe and Mail; Michèle Ouimet, of La Presse; Melissa Martin and photographer Mark Blinch. There are several multiple-time nominees included on the list.

For a complete list of nominations, read the NNA press release here.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly indicated that La Presse led the NNA nominations. We apologize for the error.
