While nervous newspaper executives continue to do what they do best and wait for someone else to solve the problem for them, I believe that it it time now for newspaper people to begin saving our institution’s soul,” he writes in the ad.

Vigil’s passion is evident. I just wish he hadn’t use the mailmen on the Titanic in his lede…
