Mark Kelley joins CBC's the fifth estate team
CBC may have canned Connect with Mark Kelley, but the show’s former host has found a new home with the public broadcaster.
CBC announced today that Mark Kelley would be returning to his investigative roots and joining the fifth estate team for its upcoming season.
Kelley, who has won five Gemini Awards, has previously worked at the broadcaster on a number of other shows including CBC News: Disclosure and The National, in addition to Connect. He will continue to contribute to The National, CBC said today.
“Mark is a great addition to the fifth estate,” Jennifer McGuire, editor in chief of CBC News, said in a release. “He has an uncanny ability to connect with Canadians. And with his formidable journalistic skills, makes a powerful addition to this stellar team.”
A new season of the fifth estate will begin Sept. 14.
