This pathfinder is designed to help journalists find background and contextual information on various religions in Canada. Although there are sites listed that are not Canadian, the focus has been on Canadian sites that provide nationally relevant Canadian information. Preference has also been given to sites that provide a variety of links for further study. Links to many national religious organizations are available through the sites provided, therefore individual denominational sites may not be listed.

The scope of this pathfinder is to present a list of resources applicable to the topic of death and dying. Links span from the most current statistical data, to resources for the bereaved, to information on different belief systems. The pathfinder seeks to be comprehensive by taking a multi-faceted approach to the topic, providing concrete and useful links alongside more though-provoking fare. In all, a journalist will find everything he or she needs to write everything from a hard and fast tragedy or taking time to craft an obituary or feature-length story.
