Long-time Canadian journalist Cecil Rosner takes a positive view of the future of investigative journalism in Canada in his new book, Behind The Headlines: A History of Investigative Journalism in Canada. The central theme of the book is that investigative journalism is part and parcel of the Canadian journalistic landscape and that it is here to stay. Rosner does spend a great deal of time outlining both the successes that investigative journalism has achieved as well as its failures. Reviewer David Spencer considers this one of the book's considerable strengths.
