Yesterday evening, the Canadian Society of Magazine Editors (CSME) announced the 2012 Editors' Choice Award winners at a gala dinner held during the MagNet conference in Toronto.
Among the big winners was Spacing, which took home awards for Best Web Editorial of the Year (more than 150,000 unique visitors), Best Blog of the Year and Best Front of Book.
This Magazine (which is now headed by former J-Source associate editor Lauren McKeon) won top honours in the small-circulation category for the third year in a row. Canadian Living took home the award in the large-circulation category this year.
Outdoor Canada also had a successful evening, winning the awards for Best Medium-Size Consumer Magazine of the Year and Editor of the Year for editor Patrick Walsh. "It's so nice to be recognized for this – and when you recognize me, you're recognizing all the people who work on Outdoor Canada and everyone at Cottage Life Media,” Walsh said in a press release.
