Grammar. Whether you love it or hate it, you need to use it effectively to be a good journalist.

In this first in a five-part series of open-source learning videos created in partnership with Ryerson University and Sheridan College, journalism professors Lisa Taylor and Nicole Blanchett Neheli get back to basics with a lesson on the parts of speech, with the help of some great quotes from everyone’s favourite anchorman, Ron Burgundy.

There’s even a built-in quiz at the end to test your own knowledge, or that you can use in your classroom as an assessment tool.

Don’t be afraid—it’s just grammar.
