The winners of the 2017 Canadian Association of Journalists Awards were announced on May 5, 2018.

The team behind “Unfounded,” the Globe and Mail’s investigation into how police handle sexual assault allegations, won the McGillivray Award for investigative journalism as well as the CAJ/Globenewswire Data Journalism Award.

Other investigations honoured with awards included a co-production investigation into the Motherisk lab in the Hospital for Sick Children; an APTN investigation of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement; and a CBC Fifth Estate investigation into KPMG and tax havens.
