Nominations have opened for the 2020 Press Freedom Award from the Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom.

The $2,000 prize will be awarded to a journalist or media worker who has made significant contributions to freedom of expression in 2019, “often by standing up to government or private interests that would thwart the reporting of events or stories of significant public interest, or by advancing press freedom through the subjects he or she reports on,” explains the CCWPF in its award announcement.

To submit your nomination, fill out this form.
