He's wounded in both legs … He's been taken away by ambulance.” That’s just one quote among a flurry of electronic comments that pinged around the globe as Moammar Gadhafi met his fate. Several media outlets created rolling blogs to cover the story, including the Globe and Mail, BBC and the New York Times. The Guardian’s rolling news blog has been called “the death of journalism.” Other media observers are fans of the genre – when it’s done well. Emily Bell recently argued that “instant journalism is not hamster journalism.” But obviously care must be taken (just ask Gordon Lightfoot).  It’s all part of the growing complexity of fully wired journalism. What are your thoughts on rolling blogs?
