The Canadian Journalism Foundation is now accepting nominations for its annual Lifetime Achievement Award. From The CJF’s press release:

The recipient will have demonstrated, throughout his/her career, a commitment to the highest journalistic standards and ideals. His/her work and contribution to the field and society should serve as a model that inspires excellence in others. The winner will be selected by a jury and presented at the 16th Annual CJF Awards at The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto on June 13, 2013.

Last year’s winner was Jack Sigvaldason of Northern News Services. I had the chance to sit down with Sig before the CJF gala where he was presented with the award to talk about his 60-year career in journalism, advertising and publishing, the changes he’s seen in the industry and why he loves the North.
