Colin Horgan, a former Parliament Hill reporter, is joining the federal Liberals as a speech writer.

He was a writer and on-air talent on CTV’s Kevin Newman Live show when it was abruptly cancelled in June. Prior to that, he was a Parliament Hill reporter for iPolitics.ca.

As Ottawa Citizen journalist Glen McGregor said, “for conspiracy theorists convinced that the entire Parliamentary Press Gallery has become a de facto communications arm of Liberal leader Justin Trudeau’s office, today, we offer more fodder…. Doubtless, Horgan’s new gig will figure in the increasingly paranoid fundraising emails from the Conservatives, which routinely accuse “Ottawa media elites” of operating in league with the dauphin.”

As McGregor pointed out that, plenty of journalists have also worked for the Conservatives.
