Magazines sometimes use celebrity guest editors to create a buzz, but guest editors can also help you reach new audiences, develop critical conversations, and enliven your publication. What are some of the benefits, and potential pitfalls, of working with guest editors? Canadian Art‘s Editor-in-Chief Jayne Wilkinson and Features Editor Yaniya Lee, who is guest editing Canadian Art‘s Summer 2020 issue, will share some of their insights into the process.
Jayne Wilkinson is a writer, editor, and independent curator. She is currently Editor-in-Chief at Canadian Art.
Yaniya Lee is a writer and editor interested in collective practice and the ethics of aesthetics. She is currently Features Editor at Canadian Art.
