JOURNALISM WORKSHOP: Reporting on the Climate Crisis Differently w/ Duncan McCue

November 16, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

What are the ways journalists can report differently, moving away from conventional colonial narratives?
Award-winning journalist and journalism educator Duncan McCue will offer five tips on how you can do a better job of reporting on Indigenous communities. The session will include an informal Q&A and practical advice on working with Indigenous peoples, in a journalism context.
CJLO 1960AM is Concordia University’s community radio. As part of our “Sounds in Our Changing World” project, CJLO is organising a series of e-workshops for young people interested in reporting on the climate crisis in alternative ways, especially for the airwaves.
We especially encourage journalism and communications students to attend but the workshop is open to any member of the community.
