The topic is the newly introduced Online News Act (Bill C-18) – what it means for Canadian news media, how this affects their editorial work, what innovative workarounds news outlets are relying on to engage audiences, reflections on the importance of social media for connecting to audiences, and what the average person can do to stay connected and support their preferred news outlets in Canada.
