Stitched! A Live Journalism Event
March 28, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Have you ever wanted to speak with the writer of a piece of journalism you just read? This is your chance.
During a time when trust with journalists is wavering, it’s more important for us to engage in a meaningful, in-person discussion. Join us for an evening where a journalist will put on a live-performance adaption of a magazine feature article, integrating performance arts, theatre tech, documentary theatre, and journalism into an experience you won’t soon forget. Engage with journalists and content producers in discussions on editorial decision making, biases, and process, in a mission to bring greater transparency and collaboration to our trade.
About the story:
If you could end South Korea’s dog meat industry, would you? Dog meat consumption is lowering in South Korea, and they become more domesticated in society.
Journalist Adam Chen travelled to South Korea, speaking to protestors, academics, dog meat restaurant owners, journalists, and everyday South Koreans to find out the reasons are behind this shift. Is it more than just a newfound love of pet dogs? The answer may surprise you.
