GateHouse Media, which owns hundreds of newspapers and websites, filed a lawsuit against Boston.com, a site that links to local blogs and newspapers, and is owned by The New York Times Co.

These sites are known as aggregator sites because they often involve merely taking an RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feed, which automatically posts the material file on the original blog or website.
