The Code of Silence Award, which recognizes government bodies that notably deny public access to information, is open for submissions.

The annual contest awards distinction in four categories — federal, provincial, municipal and law enforcement — and is presented by the Centre for Free Expression, the Canadian Association of Journalists, Canadian Journalists for Free Expression and News Media Canada.
