The winners of the Emerge Media Awards were announced on Apr. 25.
The annual awards celebrate the achievements of student journalists in a variety of areas, including writing, editing and videography.
Eric Wickham, from Humber College, won first place in the written word category for his story “God, the Court and the Scofflaw,” while Melanie Hattie, from University of King’s College, won first place in the audio reporting category for “The Fight for PTSD Service Dogs.”
