Long-time BNN anchor Howard Green left the network after 15 years last month.

Green was one of the founding anchors of BNN and the host of the network's flagship program, Headline with Howard Green. He did not say what was next for him or why he left in his tweet.

BNN’s parent company, Bell Media, said on Monday that Green left BNN to pursue other opportunities. "We sincerely thank him for his tenure and commitment to delivering business news to Canadians, and we wish him the very best on future endeavours," said Patricia Garcia, acting communications manager at Bell Media.

Green has worked for CBC and PBS, wrote the book Banking on America: How TD Bank Rose to the Top and Took on the USA and made several documentaries. He directed and wrote The Investigation of Swissair 111, a 90-minute film that won a Gemini award.
