Natasha Lennard was a freelancer with The New York Times covering the Occupy Wall Street protests. After publicly praising the “experimental nature” of the Occupy protests in a panel, the Times’ declared it would no longer use her to cover the protests. But Lennard says she’d already made the decision to quit the mainstream press days before the panel – and knew her comments would only cement that decision.
