Apply for the 2024 R. James Travers Foreign Corresponding Fellowship
Applications are open for the R. James Travers Foreign Corresponding Fellowship, an annual reporting fund administered by Carleton University for up to $25,000.
The award, which is offered in memory of reporter, foreign correspondent and editor Jim Travers, covers research, reporting and travel for up to one year for a project that aims to fill a gap in international coverage in Canadian media.
“Ongoing global events continue to underscore just how interconnected we all are. Understanding the linkages between our neighbourhoods and the rest of the world has never been more critical and the challenges to Canadian public policy on a range of issues have never seemed so immense,” says the call for proposals.
