Leslie Roberts named host of Global’s national edition of The Morning Show
Leslie Roberts, anchor of Global Toronto's News Hour newscast, will be taking on additional duties as the host for The Morning Show's national edition.
He will take on his new duties starting June 17.
"Not only is Leslie a consummate professional with years of experience in front of the camera, he is also a great conversationalist and is well-versed on everything from politics to pop culture," says Troy Reeb, Senior Vice President, Global News, in a statement. "Leslie's chemistry with the rest of The Morning Show team throughout his guest host appearances has been outstanding, and we're excited to have him contribute to the already energized and intelligent on-air discussion on a daily basis."

Roberts will also continue to anchor the News hour show with Anne Mroczkowski at 5:30 p.m., but will leave be replaced as anchor of the Toronto show’s News Hour Final at 11 p.m. by current weekend anchor Carolyn MacKenzie.
A new weekend anchor will be named this coming fall.
