Apply by June 26 for Banff Centre’s Investigative Journalism Intensive
Only one weekend is left before the upcoming deadline for the 10-day retreat and residency for investigative journalists at Banff Centre.
Through a combination of interactive seminars and workshops, participants will learn to identify research sources, mine the necessary information; and turn data and interviews into rich, engaging narratives.
Guest faculty this year is Aron Pilhofer, the James B. Steele Chair in Journalism Innovation at Temple University and a Guardian and New York Times alum. Pilhofer joins Patti Sonntag, director of the Institute for Investigative Journalism at Concordia University and Robert Cribb of the Toronto Star.
During their stay, participants will also have access to a variety of campus-wide opportunities, such as outdoor activities including hikes and attending Banff Centre public events often featuring artists and faculty.
Apply by June 26 on the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s website. Interested applicants may contact the Office of the Registrar at Banff Centre with questions.
