Apply for the 2022 R. James Travers Foreign Corresponding Fellowship
Applications are open for the R. James Travers Foreign Corresponding Fellowship, an annual reporting fund administered by Carleton University for up to $25,000.
The award, which is offered in memory of reporter, foreign correspondent and editor Jim Travers, covers research, reporting and travel for up to one year for a project that aims to fill a gap in international coverage in Canadian media.
“The Fellowship will be awarded in 2022, but applicants should assume that travel will continue to be difficult, and they should frame their story ideas and applications accordingly,” says the call for proposals.
Last year’s award was shared between two recipients, Sadiya Ansari and Alex Boyd.
