DiGiulio will co-host the evening show, Friendly Fire, along with John Downs starting Sept. 2.

Barb DiGiulio is joining Newstalk1010 on Sept. 2. She will co-host the evening show, Friendly Fire, along with John Downs.

DiGiulio was one of 94 staff let go by Rogers Media in country-wide layoffs in November 2013. She was a reporter and host on Sportsnet, 590 The Fan and 680 News for nearly 22 years, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Earlier this month, Newstalk1010 laid off three journalists—Queen’s Park reporter Katie Franzios, morning anchor Evelyn Macko and reporter Amber Gero.
