Barbara Frum would not be amused

Back in May, Jeffrey Dvorkin, one of the folks who was involved with As It Happens back in the 1990s, wrote in his blog about Barbara Budd’s sudden retirement announcement: “The ostensible reason for Barbara’s dismissal is because the CBC says it wants to replace announcers with journalists.”

And so the result of this search to replace the veteran host with a journalist is to hire an actor.

Maybe this kid has it right.
