Proskow will replace Robin Stickley when she returns to Vancouver to anchor Early News on Global BC in August.

The Tyee’s founding editor, Dave Beers, is moving to a new role as executive editor where he will focus on expanding the online magazine. 

Whyte was previously the president of Rogers’ magazine bundling service, Next Issue Canada. 

Wilson-Smith has been promoted from assistant national editor to deputy national editor at The Globe and Mail.

Owram, a reporter and chase producer with BNN, is joining the Financial Post as transportation reporter on June 23. 

As senior editor, Frehner will manage a new mobile and interactive news unit at The Globe and Mail. 

Long-time BNN anchor Howard Green has left the network after 15 years.
