Toronto Star’s foreign affairs reporter Rick Westhead is leaving the newspaper to join TSN as the network’s senior correspondent. 

Cochran, CBC’s senior managing director for Atlantic Canada, is taking on a new role, overseeing the implementation the of public broadcaster’s Strategy 2020 for news operations. 

Rempel, currently the Toronto Star’s tech editor, is joining Global News in August as its social media strategist.

Lewis, currently an energy reporter for the Financial Post in Calgary, will join The Globe and Mail covering the same beat. 

Each of the bursary winners will receive up to $2,500 to attend a hazardous environment training course in the U.S. or Britain.

Keenan, most recently the senior editor of The Grid until it shut down, is joining the Toronto Star as a city columnist.
