CBC TV’s Hana Gartner retiring
The Fifth Estate will be missing one of its veteran host-interviewers when it begins its next season. Hana Gartner will be packing a “new chapter in her remarkable life.”
For 35 years, Gartner has been cutting “to the heart of the matter in face-to-face showdowns with intimidating newsmakers,” according to the CBC.
She’s currently nominated for a Michener Award for her story about Ashley Smith, a teen who died while in the Ontario corrections system.
