Northern News Services Limited announced on March 22, 2020, that print editions for all newspapers would be temporarily suspended. Publications include News/North, Nunavut News, Hay River Hub, Inuvik Drum, Kivalliq News and Yellowknifer. Online news and PDF versions of the newspaper were to continue.

Print editions resumed with a reduced print run after approximately two weeks. Yellowknifer has returned to regular print operations.
