Finalists for 2018 National Magazine Awards announced
The finalists for the National Magazine Awards were announced on May 1.
Judges looked at work from 197 Canadian magazines, according to the Magazine Awards website. In total, 208 submissions from 81 different Canadian magazines are nominated. L’actualité leads with 13 nominations, followed by The Walrus with 12 nominations, and Report on Business with 11.
Report on Business art director Domenic Macri is nominated four times, and Hadiya Roderique is nominated three times, including a nomination for Best New Magazine Writer.
The winners will be announced on June 1, at the 41st National Magazine Awards gala.
