Drew Nelles is leaving Maisonneuve after three years at the helm of the award-winning magazine. Associate editor Haley Cullingham has been named the new editor-in-chief.
Although he doesn't have a job lined up, Nelles, 27, is moving to New York City. His last day is Sept. 4.
"It's obviously bittersweet leaving the magazine," he said. "I'm really proud of everything we've accomplished and now I'm looking forward to trying something new." Under Nelles’ direction, Maisonneuve won the Magazine of the Year at the 2012 National Magazine Awards.

Cullingham has been an associate editor for a year. Eric Andrew-Gee, an intern at the Toronto Star and a writer who has been published in Toronto Life and Maisonneuve, will join the magazine as associate editor.
"I think the magazine will be in good hands, and it's good to get some fresh blood," Nelles said.
