I’m pleased to announce that J-Source has been nominated for a Canadian Online Publishing Award. We received a nomination for Best Online-Only Article or Series of Articles for our analysis of the so-called Crackgate affair earlier this year.
Included in the nomination for their work on the package are former editor-in-chief Janice Neil, associate editor Tamara Baluja and contributors Ivor Shapiro, Maggie Jones Patterson and Romayne Smith-Fullerton.

My heartiest congratulations to everyone involved in producing this terrific and very timely package of stories. It’s a great example of the original and valuable insight that J-Source.ca can add to the conversation about journalism in Canada, particularly to a topic that received no shortage of coverage.
J-Source was a finalist in the same category in 2011 for its analysis of the coverage of the trial of former Col. Russell Williams.
Winners will be announced in Toronto on November 13.
