By Tamara Baluja, Associate Editor
Liam Nixon has been named the new anchor and newsroom manager of Global Lethbridge.
He starts on Sept. 8 and will take over from Cheryl Oates, who left to pursue a career in communications.
Nixon previously worked at CHAT-TV in Medicine Hat, Alta., where he held a number of positions including sports anchor, producer and assistant news director.
Looking forward to my first day with the team at @GlobalLeth tomorrow. A week of meetings, first on-air shift on Sept. 16. Good times ahead.
