Mark Trueman named new executive producer of Global Toronto
Trueman has been the senior producer for Global Toronto’s News Hour since 2010. He replaces former executive producer Jason Keel, who left the position in April.

Trueman has been the senior producer for Global Toronto’s News Hour since 2010. He replaces former executive producer Jason Keel, who left the position in April.
“Mark has presented himself as a true leader in our newsroom,” said Dave Trafford, news director of Global Toronto, in a statement. “He commands respect from all quarters of our news operation thanks to his many years of experience as a Senior Producer on the News Hour, his editorial judgment, his understanding of this highly competitive market and his all round calm, thoughtful demeanour.”

Trueman joined the Ottawa bureau of Global News in 1982 and moved to Toronto in 1987 to take a writing position. He has also done various stints as a producer for Global Toronto’s weekend, noon and morning newscasts.
