Media on the move: Jan. 30
Chatelaine names a new editor-in-chief.
This is something I've dreamed about since j-school (during which I wrote an essay with the v. unoriginal title of "Chatelaine: Not Your Mother's Magazine") but never imagined would happen. Thrilled & honoured to lead the next chapter of @chatelaine alongside its talented team ❤️ https://t.co/CMKzBMH2Hy

And a major move as the former VP of editorial for the Sun takes a position with Premier Doug Ford’s office.
James Wallace, VP of editorial for the Sun papers, has left to take a job with Doug Ford. Here's the message he passed on to Sun staff this morning: pic.twitter.com/3NsGUbYpgp

The career shift to deputy chief of staff comes nine months after Canadaland first reported that the Toronto Sun’s provincial election coverage strategy would centre on an editorial perspective defined by taking on the Liberals. An internal memo was topped with the premise that “the past 14 years of progressive Liberal policies have undermined Ontario’s economy, electricity system and core public services and introduced unprecedented social division.”
Here are all the rest of the media on the move in January:
