Michelle Lissel joins Global Winnipeg as weather anchor
Lissel will fill the spot vacated by Kate Gajdosik, who moved west earlier this summer to work for Global BC. Lissel’s first day on air will be Aug. 19.
Michelle Lissel will join Global Winnipeg as its new weather anchor, Shaw Media told J-Source on Thursday.
Lissel will fill the spot vacated by Kate Gajdosik, who moved west earlier this summer to work for Global BC. Lissel’s first day on air will be Aug. 19.
She began her career as a sports anchor at Global Winnipeg in 1998 and later worked as an anchor for Fox Sports World. She took a break from television in 2006 and oversaw media relations for the Toronto FC Major League Soccer team with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) before moving back to reporting in 2010.
