National Newspaper Awards nominees announced

The nominees for the National Newspaper Awards were announced March 19.

The Globe and Mail leads NNA nominations with 18, while the Toronto Star follows with 12 nominations, followed by La Presse with eight. There were over 800 entries.

With two nominations, Stephanie Nolen of the Globe and Mail has now been nominated 15 times total — just one shy of the all-time nomination record.

Robert Cribb and Marco Chown Oved, both of the Toronto Star, have the most nominations of any individual journalists with three.
