ProjetJ welcomes new editor-in-chief
Stéphanie Lalut will become the editor-in-chief of ProjetJ, independent observer of journalism and media, beginning next week.
Stéphanie Lalut will become the editor-in-chief of ProjetJ, independent observer of journalism and media, beginning next week.
A freelance journalist since 2006, Lalut is the co-founder of the hyperlocal site RueMasson.com. She led a popular science publication, the Revue Quatre-Temps, for four years and has contributed to the magazine Protégez-Vous, the community radio CIBL and Agence Science-Presse, among others.
Lalut will build on her expertise in digital production to provide analysis and practical tips for journalists, explore trends and the direction of emerging and specialized media, and strengthen ProjetJ’s position as a place for critical reflection and professional development.
"As we approach an election campaign, it is important to reflect on the work of media from several angles," she says.
Lalut replaces Anne Caroline Desplanques, whose work was widely acclaimed during her two years with ProjetJ and who will move on to the Journal de Montreal as a reporter. Desplanques will continue to serve on the editorial board of ProjetJ.
