Postmedia has announced three big departures, including two top executives from its digital team.

Scott Anderson, senior vice-president of digital content and managing director of Canada.com, and executive VP of digital Malcolm Kirk are both out. So is chief information officer Ed Brouwer.

As for the reasons behind the departure, well, Postmedia CEO Paul Godfrey is keeping mum. He spoke to The Globe and Mail Tuesday, saying he couldn’t comment on personnel matters but adding the move does not signal a change in strategy.

“We’re quite emphatic … that our strategy continues to remain,” he told Globe reporter Susan Krashinsky.

He expanded in a Canadian Press story. “As we accelerate our business strategy, the continued focus for this fiscal year is on transformation and revenue development," he said, "This year our success is linked to ensuring that our product and sales teams work more closely than ever so that we maximize returns on our digital investments."
