Three laid off at Brantford Expositor
Three staff at the Brantford Expositor have been laid off as part of the 200 company-wide job cuts at Sun Media.
Three staff at the Brantford Expositor have been laid off as part of the 200 company-wide job cuts at Sun Media.
Hugo Rodrigues, who covers the city hall beat for the Expositor, and Jim Alexander, a sales representative, and Carol McFarlane,a customer service rep, have been laid off. Rodrigues, who is also the president of the Canadian Association of Journalists, and McFarlane are on a 30-day notice period as per their collective agreement with Sun Media.
Alexander was not a member of the bargaining unit so his departure was effective immediately.
