PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

BAJ & BJ is extensive hands on and theory based classes that includes print, broadcast, photo and web based journalism. Once accepted into this program, it is two years (60 cr hrs), including three academic semesters and one semester on a paid 13 week internship.

Bridging to MJ is first year journalism, including the internship (3 semesters), to prepare for application to the MJ program.

MJ program is one complete year (3 semesters – 30 cr hrs) of advanced 800 level courses.  It includes extensive hands on and theory based courses that includes print, broadcast, photo and web based journalism.

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA:

BAJ – 60 credit hours of specific undergrad courses; 70 per cent average; must provide writing and/or broadcast samples, resume and cover letter; transcripts

BJ/Bridiging – must possess a degree; must provide writing and/or broadcast samples, resume and cover letter; transcripts

MJ – Online application; Transcripts; References; Resume and Personal Statement; Test scores (if required by the program); Supplementary material (if required by the program)
