Wanna go to camp? There’s a journo job for you
Centauri Summer Arts Camp has an urgent opening for a
journalism instructor at its sleep-over camp for young artists based in the Niagara
Region. The camp is looking for someone with teaching experience to instruct a
group of 10 teenage girls, for four hours each day, in the art of journalism
from July 17-30. You’ll spend the nights in shared accommodation with
other professionals, and be paid a $1,300 honorarium. Meals and endless camp songs
stuck in your head included. Check out www.centauriartscamp.com for more
information.

This is a creative arts camp
This is a creative arts camp that wants to offer teenagers an opportunity to see what it’s like to be a reporter. Because the camp is jam packed with activities, from stage combat to musical theatre, from improv to art explorations, you can use the setting as a news lab for your students assignments. I can assist with lesson plans if anyone is interested and needs a hand.
