PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Learn to leverage the power of digital and social media platforms to tell compelling stories, deliver targeted communications and produce quality digital content that is memorable in the competitive environment of our media-saturated world. In our Digital Media and Journalism program, you’ll gain an understanding of how media environments are shaped by social, political, cultural and economic issues as part of your training for a career as a digital media professional.  You’ll learn how to find, interpret and present data and information in ways that will help you critically analyze contemporary issues, report on and tell stories about them. Your technical media production skills will be developed in courses delivered by Conestoga College at Laurier. After four years, you will graduate with both an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media and Journalism and a graduate certificate in Contemporary Media Arts from Conestoga College.

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA:

Our admission requirements are English at 75% and a minimum overall average in the low 70s (the competitive admission range is low 80s).
