CBC Ottawa journalist Rice won the Debwewin Citation for excellence in First Nation Storytelling given out by the Anishinabek Nation, which is based in North Bay, Ont. 

 Waubgeshig Rice is the winner of the Debwewin Citation for excellence in First Nation Storytelling.

The CBC Ottawa journalist will receive his award on Aug. 20, which will be given out by the Anishinabek Nation, based in North Bay, Ont. The award recognizes journalists who report about Native and First Nations issues.
