New journalism award to honour workplace mental health reporting
By H.G. Watson, Associate Editor
A new journalism award will honour reporting about mental health issues in the workplace.
The Canadian Journalism Forum on Violence and Trauma is offering the Mindset Award for Workplace Mental Health Reporting, valued at $1,000. It will be presented at the Canadian Association of Journalists conference next year.
“We are trying to encourage bold acts of journalism in the public interest,” said Forum president Cliff Lonsdale in a press release. “The independent jury will be asked to give preference to stories that are either incisive or investigative.”
